Happy Birthday Eddie!!
Please join us today in giving praise to God as we wish our son, Eddie, a very happy first birthday. Before he was born, the Dr. told us that he had spina bifida, would very likely have down syndrome, would not be able to walk, have trouble going to the bathroom, as well as other issues related to the spine and lower extremities. Yet here he is a testimony to the very greatness of the God we serve - 100% healthy! For a detailed testimony please click HERE

Christmas at my church
Well I managed to get a copy of the recording of the Christmas Program that we did on 12/21/2008 at our church, Word of Love Christian Center, in which I actually performed. I love my son with all of my heart, but man is he a handful when you are trying to hold him while singing before God and the congregation. My timing was a little off and I had a touch of uncertainty attack me at the beginning but I managed to make it through without messing up to terribly, praise Jesus. The song I sang is called "Joseph's Song" by Michael Card. Not bad for afirst time performance, methinks. About halfway though my son, Eddie, chokes on his pacifier and yanks off my head covering. I'm positive he is going to be an total riot when he gets older. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed getting up there and giving our Lord and Saviour all glory and praise. God bless you all!
You can view or download the video from HERE
Note: The video is about 500MB and will take some time to download on slower connections. Thanks for your patience.

Coping with the chaos that has become my life
I'm sure that some of you have probably been asking yourselves recently, "just what exactly does desk_jedi think he is doing?" Well the short answer is this: I gave my life and all of its questions, concerns, problems, etc. over to God. Rather than try to work out the answers on my own I asked Him to take my life and direct me where He would have me go, what to do, what to say. After more than 10 years of trying to pave the way on my own and getting nowhere I came to realization that I wasn't going to make it happen without help.
Example: I have been in the Technical Support Industry for about 10 years now and not once, at any company I worked for, did I ever make it beyond Tier 2 in advancement. The one time I stepped beyond that level - as supervisor in the Support Center while at Radiant Systems, Inc. - I failed miserably and was demoted.
Ouch, that one really hurt. Even still as I tried to make it on my own God in His infinte patience kept me from getting into too much trouble. This is my testimony to His wondrous grace!

New Maps and Skins for SWAT 4
We've added two new maps Art Center and Operation Apollo to the Maps list on the Dallas S.W.A.T. II server. The maps are not on the normal rotation so you'll have to either start a map vote or admins can switch to them via console. We also added Scooby's Sheriff Skins to the server as well.
All of the files are available for download in the Downloads section.
Have fun!
